The
Documentary
|
'Montessori – An
Inspiration’ was completed over a two year
period and has been shown Australia wide on free
to air community television. The documentary is
the first in the world to show the journey a
child takes through Montessori from the early
years through to completion of their secondary
schooling, and also explores their future
beyond.
Viewers of this
documentary will learn how Montessori
differs from traditional education
methods, allowing children to learn by
their own choice in a positive and
scientifically prepared environment. It
is this environment that viewers will
discover has a profound impact on a
child’s intellectual, emotional and
physical development.
|
|
The documentary
allows viewers inside real classrooms
where they are able to observe the
children and examine the specially
designed self-teaching materials.
Through candid
interviews, current and past students, teachers and
parents share with viewers the real journey and impact
of a Montessori education.
This documentary is essential viewing
for any parent considering the future
education of their child, for parents of
children already in a Montessori school,
or for any teaching institution looking
to further educate their pupils in
alternative teaching methods.
